The movie It’s Complicated directed by Nancy Meyers was set in a serene Santa Barbara coastal area. You may remember that Nancy Meyers also directed the design-rich, Something’s Gotta Give and The Holiday. All three movies offer trend setting interiors that Meyers herself was deeply involved in. This story line follows along the path of love, divorce and renovation.

“Since more than half of the movie takes place in the house, we really get to know the place,” says Meyers. “What the characters wear and how they live and decorate really say something about them.”
Here is a photo of Jane (Meryl Streep) and Steve Martin in her kitchen that she is going to renovate.
In this photo Nancy Meyers (standing) is talking with the actors in the set’s dining room. The room behind her shows another angle of the kitchen. I love the refrigerator and white doors.
This view is in the dining looking into the kitchen.
Here the girls are enjoying an after dinner chat in the living room. Nancy always includes great fireplaces in her movies!

Love this photo of the Tuscan styled kitchen.

The design of Jane’s (Meryl Streep) bakery was influenced by New York City Bakery, London’s Daylesford Organic and Dean & Deluca, among others.

LOVE the dining table, coffee table in the living room and the pouf/footstool in the guest bedroom! Thanks for the inspiration, Desi!
