I fell in love with this beach house and realized I wasn’t the only one who dreamed of having many of the design elements that were in this gorgeous Hamptons home. When the movie finally came out on DVD, I quickly purchased my very own copy in order to continue studying every scene in Erica Barry’s house. I lost count on how many times I watched it! I have read in magazines and online that clients still request that their interior designers make their home look and feel like Erica Barry’s Hamptons home on the big screen. For more information and pictures of this beach house from Something’s Gotta Give visit Architectural Digest.

Did you know that this house was actually a movie set?

If you'd like to know where the original oh so popular striped carpet from the movie set ended up, I posted about it here
Just saw the movie again a couple of weeks ago!!

I, too, have "Good House Movies" – only buy the copy because of the set! LOL. Sometimes I don't even see the movie the first go around because of the setting!
This is definitely a Top Ten for me.

Desiree pictures of every room on this set are in my files. It is the ultimate timeless classic home, in my opinion. It's been 10 years since the movie's release and this home does not look dated one bit! Test of time!!
Have a great weekend.
