Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you had a great week. This week for our family has been one of clean up and recovery after Hurricane Irma. It’s been nice to see everyone pulling together and helping each other out. For the most part all we are waiting for is power, however I know many people had major damage to their homes across the state. The Florida Keys got hit pretty hard and many residents are not allowed to travel south past mile maker 70. There’s still so much to do and very little gas to be found. I’m going to spend some time today getting caught up on what really happened, because we haven’t had phone service in my neighborhood all week. I guess we were hit with Category 1-2 winds, which caused so many trees to break and fall over. I’m so thankful that none of the eight oak trees in my yard fell, because that would have caused damaged to our home.
My Mom’s power was restored yesterday, so that’s where I slept. I’m so thankful that my parents and my husband’s parents have electricity now. We prayed they would get it soon. Thank you Lord! I’ll continue to keep all of you updated. Thank you for your prayers!
