It’s mango season in Miami and today I’m sharing a refreshing mango salsa recipe that’s super easy to make. My Step-Dad was so sweet to drop off a bunch of mangoes yesterday, so I asked my husband if he could make mango salsa. I pretty much live with a chef, because my husband loves to cook and create his own recipes. Coming up with this recipe was a breeze for him, since he’s made homemade salsa before. He knew exactly what would be a great mix here and went with it. I have to admit that he did a great job, because this salsa was delicious!
Fortunately, we had all the ingredients at home for my husband to whip this up. I also had a bag handy of these yummy bruschetta toasts one of my students gave me as a gift. I linked these toasts here and here in case you’re interested in ordering them. They are so good! This would be a great appetizer that’s simple to make for the Fourth of July or any other small gathering.
A Refreshing Mango Salsa Recipe
1 cup chopped mango
1/2 cup chopped pineapple
1 chopped red chili pepper (remove seeds)
1/2 cup chopped tomato
juice of one lime
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 chopped jalapeno (remove seeds)
1/2 cup cilantro
salt to taste
There are so many ways you can serve this delicious mango salsa. Serve it with blue corn tortilla chips or bruschetta toasts. You may also love to use this mango salsa as a garnish over chicken, fish, or shrimp. The ideas are endless and everyone at your party will love you for making this! I’d love to hear how you would serve it.
