CELEBRATING EXCITING NEWS IN NANTUCKET

I have some exciting news to share with you today! I’m now officially a full-time blogger/influencer/content creator! I’m super excited about this new adventure and feel incredibly blessed and honored for the opportunity to serve this community on a new level that’s more inspired and exciting. This blog has completely changed my life and I’m thankful to the Lord for giving me the desires of my heart.

I want to begin by saying, thank you! I started this blog back in 2010 at the age of 39 to fulfill a creative side of me. The only people who read my blog were my parents and my husband. I made no money, but I absolutely loved it! I would sit on the computer for hours searching for the perfect beach houses and coastal fashion finds to share with whoever was reading my blog. It literally seemed like a dream to me and I couldn’t stop. Over time, my blog continued to grow and I started working with some of the best brands. I’ve gotten to meet many of you on my travels and love being able to connect with other women who love the same things I love~ the coast.

I never thought I would quit my day job, but as I’ve grown older it seemed logical to do so. I felt like it would be impossible for me to continue with the schedules of both teaching and blogging to be successful. Working on my blog after school and late into the night and all weekend, was just not something I could keep up with anymore. Nor, wanted to do. That’s when my husband and I made a plan for me to resign from teaching. I will forever be grateful for the love and support given to me by students, parents, peers, and administrators over the last 16 years of my teaching career.

New Chapter

While being a content creator is time consuming, I really enjoy the many hats it requires me to wear to be successful in this space. I spend a great deal of time learning the ins and outs of influencer marketing and PR. Now that I will be working from home full-time, I’ll have more opportunities to help my blog grow. And… most importantly, more time to spend with this beautiful community of women.

I have a long list of things I want and need to do for the blog and still have to get situated here. I’m really looking forward to setting up an office space that I can use full-time in my home and I’ll make sure to share all the details with you as the space  comes together.

Celebrating in Nantucket

My husband and I celebrated the beginning of this new chapter at The Wauwinet last week, which seemed so fitting. Nantucket is a place that inspires me like nowhere else. I ordered this floral embroidered dress to wear for this celebration of being a full-time entrepreneur. It reminds me of everything I love about coastal living; hand embroidery, blue florals, linen, and summer whites.
