Beachy Chic…

The next room design I will be working on is my living room. As of now, the only things in that room that will be staying are two wicker chairs that I purchased at the Williams Sonoma outlet near the Hamptons. I had to have them, so I paid an arm and a leg to have them shipped to Miami and honestly haven’t regretted that decision since. They actually go with the coffee table that you see in my family room make-over. My plan is… buy a slipcover sofa from City Furniture that is about $600, two comfy side chairs to match, a large 9×12 seagrass rug and two tall lamps that are made of a grayish wood from Target. That should cover the big pieces to fill out the room and I’ve been watching anxiously to see what accessories Williams Sonoma has in store for us this summer and low and behold! Beachy Chic

Take a fresh approach in creating a space the reminds you of the beach.  Starting with light and airy fabrics on the sofas in the living room.

Updating the kitchen with fabric lighting and counter tops that resemble sand.

Simple slip covered chairs in the dining room can be easily washed.

White luxurious bedding in the bedrooms.  Just add shells.
