Chic Bloggers and Their Coastal Kitchens {Catherine McCord of Weelicious}

It’s my pleasure once again to share with you another, Chic Blogger and her Coastal Kitchen.  Her name is Catherine McCord and she is the author of a food blog entitled, Weelicious.  I was introduced to her website through Gweneth Paltrow’s newsletter, GOOP.  Since then, I visit Catherine’s site often and get great tips on cooking healthy for my family.

As I watch Catherine cook delicious recipes with her kids in her entertaining featured videos, I can’t help but be fascinated by her fabulous white kitchen in the background!  It’s a dream and definitely fits into my idea of a chic coastal kitchen!  I contacted Catherine and her PR person and they were happy to send me photos of her kitchen to share with my readers.

Enjoy her lovely photos and that gorgeous kitchen of hers in the background.
I love the big windows in her kitchen and the large island.

Don’t you just love the square marble tiles above her stove as a backsplash?
In her videos you can see that she also has windows on either side of her range.  Great design.
She also has a beautiful family…..

Thank you Catherine!

  1. Thanks for sharing her blog Desiree, and her beautiful kitchen. Although, my girls are older…I am interested in her recipes as our youngest needs to eat a special diet due to her migraine headaches. I love all her healthy choices!

Chic Bloggers and Their Coastal Kitchens

I absolutely love that I found an informative kitchen renovation post at, A Brooklyn Limestone’s, blog.  My two favorite parts of their kitchen renovation are the inset cabinets that reach to the ceiling and the gorgeous designed wood floors.  Having cabinets that reach the ceiling allows the room to look tall and elegant.  I did the same in my kitchen, in which I will share with you soon! Enjoy these photos and let me know what you love about this gorgeous chic coastal kitchen!

I think these colorful stools were a great choice.

To me….a kitchen wouldn’t be complete without a beautiful bottle of soap……

Visit a Brooklyn Limestone to get all the details of this kitchen renovation.

  2. This is absolutely beautiful ~ to be honest, I hadn't given cabinet height much thought until we recently started shopping for our new home, then all of a sudden I became obsessed with the idea of having them 🙂

Chic Bloggers and Their Coastal Kitchens Series 2011

Today is my first post of a special series featuring, Chic Bloggers and Their Coastal Kitchens.  Congratulations to Mary Ann and new friend of mine in the blog world, for starting the series off in fashion for 2011! I am so excited to share with you what talent this lovely woman has.

I just love her newly renovated kitchen!  I can gather from the looks of her kitchen that she, herself,  is super chic {definition: smart and stylish}.

Mary Ann says:

Recently, we completely renovated a 1950’s beach cottage where we live in southern California.  Throughout the design process, many great ideas from blogs were incorporated.  I hope that this post will help you see some possibilities for your own kitchen.

First of all, I love white kitchens and I especially love her slipcovered bar stools.

Her collection of copper pots and pans add nice color to the kitchen. Gorgeous Viking Range.

How great is this beverage center? We all need one!

Pantry with ribbed glass door.

Ahhhh…..espresso pod.

I think Mary Ann needs to contact Coastal Living and submit her photos! Don’t you agree!
Visit her blog classic.casual.home and read her complete post about her kitchen renovation!
If you have a chic coastal kitchen that you would like me to feature, please let me know!

  1. Desiree: How sweet you are! It would be so much fun to make you a cappuccino and have a relaxing conversation in my kitchen (ever coming to Newport Beach?). The whole "beverage center" was a solution to a weird empty space about four feet wide to the left of a load bearing wall. It was a good outcome of the remodel. We also raised the low ceiling as much as we could. I really should show "before" photos sometime. That was my first post. Thanks again for your interest.

    !

  3. PS Never mind…my fault..duh! When you said click here I assumed it was to the pillow post and it was to the kitchen post….which I am SO glad I got to see, must have been posted before I came to blogland!
