Hi everyone! I hope you had a fun weekend. Here are a few photos of my trip in Maine…
ONE | My sister-in-law, niece and I went on a stroll here in the harbor town that we are staying in. This little town is a beautiful place with small quaint shops, delicious cafes and nautical goods including one of my favorite kitchen specialty stores, Stone Wall Kitchen. TWO | This photo was taken at the harbor in our town. Love it.
THREE | I’m so happy that I packed my new sneaks by Nike for my many hiking trips here in Maine. This photo was taken on our hike in Acadia National Park. 
FOUR | One of many breathtaking views during our hike in Acadia. Every turn on the hike was more beautiful than the next. Incredible place to visit. 
FIVE | Another view from the harbor in our town. Gorgeous in every way. Sailboats everywhere and now of course I want a sailboat!

FIVE THINGS…

Hi everyone! I had a great weekend and loved blessing my husband with goodies all week long for Father’s Day. It’s hard for me to hold onto presents! I usually buy him a swimsuit, but this year he got a new wallet and a few other things that he needed for our summer trip. How was your weekend?
1| I just received the Tory Burch Molly clutch in the mail the other day and have already paired it with so many outfits. It was definitely worth the investment and I know I’ll have it for years to come. (Loft bustier, Loft pants, Michael Kors watch, Essie nailpolish)
2| I usually do my own nails and save the mani-pedis for special occasions. Essie shades of coral and pink have been on repeat so far this summer. Left-right: *Not sure what the 1st one is, Petal Pink, Tart Deco, Blanc, Fiji
3| I finally bought my all-time favorite movies and have been putting my feet up, popping organic popcorn on the stove and watching these over and over. I’m a sucker for romantic comedies (although Dear John is not a comedy…sniff,sniff).
4| On Father’s Day, I surprised my husband (and my boys) with morning treats from our neighborhood French Bakery. Yummm! (bowl, mug)
5| Of course after all those almond croissants, this mama needed to work out. (Thorlo running socks, similar running capri)

Good morning! I wanted to thank everyone for all of the sweet comments you leave here on my blog. It’s nice to be surrounded by such lovely blog friends. Today, I’m sharing five things that I enjoyed over the weekend… sipping my first cup of coffee on Sunday morning while wearing my my new vintage, cotton tee and white denim shorts (love it in the ecru wash too). I finally got around to setting out my new beachy, birthday gift from the Florida Keys on my coffee table. I was also able to catch up on some weekend reading and chose a spring shade for my nails. Spent some time daydreaming of my next visit to Aerin Lauder’s store in Southampton to buy more of my favorite home accessories and I was so excited to find new vintage styled sneakers to add to my collection! Happy Friday everyone!!! Oh boy do I love my weekends! Can you tell I’m loving pink lately? It’s almost Valentine’s Day and spring is just around the corner and I just can’t help it. Pink is calling my name! Yesterday I bought the cutest hot pink palazzo pants and I love them! I’ll have to do an outfit post with them soon if the weather cooperates. Happy Sunday! I was pleasantly surprised to be able to sleep in an extra hour today and woke up feeling so refreshed. I took photos of two outfits to share with you this week and the weather was absolutely perfect, which was another bonus. Five Things…

By this time in September, I’m really starting to enjoy that fall is getting near, so this week I hopped in my car and headed over to a couple of my favorite stores that I know will help me embrace fall even more. My first stop was Williams Sonoma, where I’m greeted by an associate who offers to brew me a fresh cup of espresso! While sipping my Italian blend espresso, I grab two of my favorite things, spiced chestnut dish soap and pumpkin striped oven mitts. Fully satisfied by my simple purchases, I then head on over to a new store in town, The Fresh Market. Oooooh, I love that place! It definitely reminds me of shopping at the grocery store in the Hamptons. There, I browse around, still sipping my espresso from WS (remember I had those two cups of coffee in the morning… I need to take it easy) and decide to grab a few over-sized apples and a bottle of wine. This is how fall begins for me. How about you?

I was thrilled to find this stylish mermaid for my HomeGoods room make-over…

It’s Friday! I’m enjoying my morning cup of coffee and writing out my to-do list.  I have a busy weekend ahead me…wrapping up photos for my room make-over and helping out a friend who wants to re-do her whole house using a coastal look.  No problem! I can help with that. First thing we do is get the walls painted the perfect white. Is it just me or do any of you love a freshly painted room in a calming white that’s better than the regular white?  I would love to know what you think…

  7. Well you don't look 41 at all! I always forget how old I am and then feel shocked when I remember! After all, I have been 41 now for 4 years! LOL! By the way, you will love that Iphone! I got one about a month ago and am totally loving it! Of course my 8 year old and 5 year old knew more than I did on it but I am learning! Cheers to you!

I forgot just how wonderful this time of the year can be…and getting beautiful inspiration for my blog is an added bonus.  The Aspen ski chalet above has to be my all time favorite winter home that I’ve come across since I started blogging 13 months ago.  I could easily post it everyday! Everything about it says chic! While the chalet made my favorite home of the week or season, there are also a few small things that have caught my eye lately…actually many things (but I…reluctantly will stick to only five for this post).  I hope you have a relaxing and fun filled Sunday, as you prepare for a great week ahead. {I’m a chic flick girl and I recently recorded The Proposal on my DVR.  Can I tell you?  I watch it almost everyday or at least a snip-it of it while I’m folding clothes.  You can imagine that I’m folding clothes everyday (for hours it seems) with three boys who play sports.}

  1. The ski chalet is off the charts! I love that the design of the space doesn't trump the view of the mountains. I'm guessing this ski chalet is not a permanent residence. I always prefer less is more in a home that isn't resided in full-time, especially if I'm the one cleaning it (wink!) Hope you are having a great weekend. XOXO.

  3. Desiree, that view is to die for. Of course you would want windows like that to take advantage of the scenery. I was noticing that they used roller blinds on an outside mount. For anyone who is into that kind of thing, there is a new product out there called Qmotion. It operates on batteries.

    The dishes are very cool. The wood table, the linen clothe, and the glass of wine–what's not to love?

    You've got me thinking about skiing now and I need to be thinking about work. Anyhooo, have a wonderful day.
