Here’s How I Updated My Fall Wardrobe this Year

There’s nothing I love more than giving my wardrobe a little seasonal reset, and this year I’ve been drawn to pieces that feel timeless, polished, and — of course — cozy enough for crisp fall days.
First up, corduroy pants from J.Crew — I added them in ivory and French press (that rich coffee shade I know I’ll wear nonstop). I also couldn’t resist a new darker wash in my favorite slim wide-leg jeans, the pair I reach for again and again because they just fit so well.
Sweaters are always at the heart of my fall style, and this season I went with classic cable knits in ivory and navy — the kind you throw on with everything from jeans to loafers and instantly feel put together. Speaking of classics, I finally added a navy duffle coat with toggles. It has that charming, slightly preppy look that feels straight out of a cozy East Coast autumn.
I also picked up jeans with subtle side embellishments — a fun, unexpected upgrade that still keeps things casual.
And since accessories can completely change a look, I rounded things out with brown suede ballet flats, a wicker basket bag, a straw picnic bag, and Tretorn sneakers for everyday ease.
And yes, I have a wish list going too: chic Loeffler Randall loafers, a pair of tartan trousers with the matching jacket (so perfect for holiday gatherings), and a Savette bag that I know would be a forever piece.
These are the styles making my closet feel fresh and exciting again, and I can’t wait to mix and match them all season long.
