John 3-16

Blessings to you and your family this Good Friday. I wanted to share a song I’ve been listening to everyday all day, because it’s brings me so much joy in knowing that I have an awesome God. I love how the song starts off with, HOPE BE MY ANTHEM. Jesus is my only hope and I’ve seen beautiful things happen through fervent prayer in my life and the life of others. I feel overwhelmed when I think of what Jesus did for me on the cross and sometimes I feel so unworthy of the blessings He has poured over me. And yet, He forgives and continues to draw me close to Him. He’s my rock and my salvation, my comforter, my friend, my redeemer, my God, and my Savior. To Him be all the Glory, now and forever!

I also wanted to share a Lenten Reflection I shared in one of the ministries that I’m a part of called Magnificat, which is a Christian ministry for women. All my love to you and may the God of hope fill you overflowing this Easter and always. XO, Desiree

The Same Spirit that Raised Jesus from the Dead by Desiree Leone
Scripture says that Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed (Luke 5:16). If Jesus; who is God Himself; spent a great deal of time in prayer, then He must be calling me to do the same. Through prayer I’ve been healed, forgiven, restored, lifted up, delivered, and set free. Prayer and fasting are what Jesus calls each and every one of us do and when we feed on the word of God, we find strength to do His will. Jesus promises us before His death on the cross; that we will do what He has done, and even greater works. What a beautiful promise to know that our Savior loves us so much, that His plan is for us to do even greater works than He did!
“Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.” John 14:12
And how will we accomplish His plan? By the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead:
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, we will give life to your mortal bodies by this same spirit living within you.  Romans 8:11
Jesus did not rely on his human strength to resist temptation when He fasted forty days and nights in the wilderness, instead Jesus relied on the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'” Matthew 4:4
Jesus won the victory for us by His death on the cross and resurrection. In Him; we can have total and complete freedom. We are His heirs and it’s our birth right to be showered with blessings, healed, restored, and set free! We don’t have to settle for crumbs, but can feed on the Bread of Life (John 6:35) everyday in our lives by asking Jesus for forgiveness and placing Him at the throne of our hearts. This is Kingdom living. Amen!

He’s is Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Revelation 22:13
