My First Amazon Purchases of the Year

I’m really excited to finally be working on a proper home office. My kids were so sweet and surprised me by ordering a few office essentials I needed, and honestly—it’s been such a game changer already. The only thing missing now is a desk, since I’ve been working from the dining room table… which is definitely not ideal.
I’ve realized how important it is for me to physically separate my workspace from the rest of the house so I can truly stopworking at the end of the day and walk away from it. That’s kind of my New Year’s resolution this year—creating better boundaries with work. I’ll have to share more of my thoughts on that in another post next week.
For now, I can’t wait to order this larger desk that will actually give me enough room for two screens, a couple of lamps, an orchid, and my calendar—everything in one place where it belongs.
I’m also really looking forward to diving into my winter reading with Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Series (nothing better than a cozy book this time of year), slipping into a fresh pair of Isotoner slippers—they’re so comfy and I’ve loved them before—and finally adding some beautiful raffia frames for baby and family photos. And the carafe? It instantly reminds me of one of my favorite trips to Charleston years ago, where they served coffee in them. I loved how it looked for entertaining, and it’s been living in my head ever since.
