I love a romanticized morning routine as much as the next girl… but this is the realistic version of mine lately.

My Morning Routine Lately (The Realistic Version)

It starts with Goldie.

Before anything else, I give her the best morning cuddles and tell her I love her like 1,000 times. Then, I take her out for a walk. The air has actually been cool here in Miami (which I’m loving), and those quiet early morning walks feel like such a peaceful way to begin the day.

When we get back, I get her breakfast ready — she makes sure I don’t forget — and then it’s finally time for mine: decaf coffee and some overnight oats. I’ve fully embraced my decaf era and honestly don’t miss the caffeine. There’s something comforting about that first warm cup in a quiet kitchen.

After that, I sit down for the daily Mass readings. This has always an anchor in my mornings. I recently started the “Bible in a Year” program through the Ascension app, and I’m really enjoying it. It gives structure to my reading and helps me stay consistent. I’ll usually journal for a few minutes after — with thoughts, prayers, intentions for the day.

Then it’s time to get ready.

In the mornings, I’ve been using my Elemis skincare, which my skin has been loving. It feels like a small luxury to start the day. P.S. Just learned that my favorite Elemis skincare products are on sale on QVC this weekend.

For makeup, I recently started using the No Makeup Makeup Foundation and I truly love it. It gives that natural, even look without feeling heavy. Plus, the brush is amazing for applying this foundation. I also use my DIBS dual-ended brush and bronzer for a little warmth — quick, easy, and done.

For my hair, I use my T3 Airbrush to style it. It makes such a difference and doesn’t take forever, which I appreciate.

And then I get dressed for the day. Since I work from home, comfort is key — but I still like to feel put together. I ordered the cutest compression pants and jersey ruffle tank from Tuckernuck’s sport collection.

It’s not a 5 a.m. productivity marathon– It’s not perfect. It’s just simple and gets me ready for the day.

And honestly? That feels really good right now.
