EASY RECIPE FOR SOFT SUGAR COOKIE BARS

I baked these sugar cookie bars for my family last year for Valentine’s Day and they were a hit! It’s an easy treat to make and all you need is sugar cookie dough, icing and sprinkles of your choice. Baking is one of my favorite things to do, so the easier the better. To make these sugar cookie bars, you will need to use a cutout sugar cookie recipe. I especially love to use this recipe by Martha Stewart or you can buy sugar cookie mix. Either way, these bars are so yummy and your family will love them! I followed a few easy steps to make these sugar cookie bars as outlined below.

Easy Recipe for Soft Sugar Cookie Bars

1. Follow the cutout sugar cookie recipe of your choice.

2.  Line a square pan with parchment paper and have two sides of the paper stick out of the pan in order to lift out after it bakes.

3.  Put the batter in the pan.

4.  Follow baking instructions and check with a toothpick.

5.  Let cool on a cooling rack, then using the parchment paper, lift out of the pan and continue to cool if needed.

6.  Apply icing and decorate with sprinkles.
