THE BEST VALENTINE’S DAY SUGAR COOKIE BARS

Good morning everyone! I’ve been wanting to bake these sugar cookie bars since last year. These are so easy to make and my husband said that he actually likes these better that sugar cookies. My boys happily agreed as well! This recipe will definitely be my go-to for Valentine’s Day from now on!

To make these sugar cookie bars, you will need to use a cutout sugar cookie recipe. I especially love to use this recipe by Martha Stewart or you can buy sugar cookie mix. Either way, these bars are so yummy and your family will love them! I followed a few easy steps to make these sugar cookie bars as outlined below:

STEP ONE  Follow the cutout sugar cookie recipe of your choice.

STEP TWO  Line a square pan with parchment paper and have two sides of the paper stick out of the pan in order to lift out after it bakes.

STEP THREE  Put the batter in the pan.

STEP FOUR  Follow baking instructions and check with a toothpick.

STEP FIVE  Let cool on a cooling rack, then using the parchment paper, lift out of the pan and continue to cool if needed.

STEP SIX  Apply icing and decorate with sprinkles.
