The Best J.Crew Outfits I Wore on Nantucket This Summer

I always look forward to planning outfits for Nantucket—it’s one of those places where classic meets coastal in the best way. And this year, some of my favorite looks came from J.Crew’s latest summer collections. Think breezy linens, nautical stripes, and beautiful coastal shades that felt just right for days spent strolling through town, riding bikes to the beach, or grabbing lunch with a view.
That said—I definitely overpacked this trip more than ever. As I was putting this post together, I realized I lived in my swimsuit most days since we went to the beach every single day! Still, these J.Crew pieces were the ones I reached for the most when we did get dressed up, and I loved how easy they were to mix and match.
Below, I’m sharing the best J.Crew outfits I wore on island. A few are on sale now, and some just came back in stock—so if you’ve had your eye on something, now’s the time!
The Best J.Crew Outfits I Wore on Nantucket This Summer
1. Oval Eyelet Midi Dress in White
Where I Wore It: The Nantucket Film Festival garden party
This dress was a dream—classic, feminine, and so comfortable for a warm coastal afternoon. I wore it to the Nantucket Film Festival garden party, and it felt just right with the eyelet details and flattering fit. It has that timeless charm J.Crew does so well, and I got so many compliments on it. I paired it with seashell earrings, sandals, and a tote, and felt perfectly polished without trying too hard.
This one’s still available and would be beautiful for summer dinners, bridal showers, or even a beachy wedding weekend.

2. Palermo Ramie Top + White Wide-Leg Stacked Button Jeans
Where I Wore It: Lunch and shopping in town with my husband
This J.Crew look was one of my favorites of the week—feminine, easy, and just the right mix of dressed up and relaxed. I wore it for a casual lunch and a little shopping with my husband, and it was perfect for a sunny afternoon in town. The Palermo top in the ivory and red floral is breezy and romantic (that neckline is everything), and I paired it with my go-to white wide-leg jeans with the stacked buttons (size down 1 size in these jeans). Both pieces are lightweight and flattering—exactly what you want for summer days by the sea.

3. Scrunchie One-Piece Swimsuit in Blue & White Stripes
Where I Wore It: Nearly every day at the beach
This J.Crew scrunchie one-piece quickly became my most-worn swimsuit on the trip—and that’s saying something because we went to the beach every single day! The fit is so flattering, the scrunchie texture adds a little something special, and the classic blue and white stripes feel timeless and coastal. I loved it so much, I just ordered it in white too. It’s one of those swimsuits you feel great in whether you’re lounging by the shore, hopping on a bike, or grabbing lunch right after the beach.

4. Vintage Blue & White Stripe Tee + Denim Wide-Leg Jeans
Where I Wore It: Travel day and our first afternoon on island
For our travel day to Nantucket, I wanted something that was equal parts comfy and pulled-together. This blue and white vintage jersey stripe tee was the perfect choice—lightweight, soft, and coastal without trying too hard. I paired it with my wide-leg denim jeans from J.Crew, which are flattering and roomy enough for a long travel day. It was the kind of outfit that made the transition from airport to island feel easy and stylish. I ended up wearing this combo for our first afternoon in town to grab lunch and settle in.
