The Garden Party On Nantucket I’ll Never Forget
Inside the Dreamiest Garden Party at the Nantucket Film Festival & Big Thank You to My Friends for the Invite
I still can’t believe this day actually happened! One of the highlights of my summer on Nantucket was being invited to a garden party hosted by the Nantucket Film Festival. This was not just any event. This one featured none other than Elin Hilderbrand, along with a panel of amazing Hollywood producers and writers. One writer also worked on This Is Us—yes, that show that had us all in tears).
The moment I saw garden party on the invitation, I knew exactly what I wanted to wear. Thankfully, I packed this white eyelet dress from J.Crew that I’ve been saving for a special occasion. It turned out to be the perfect choice. Breezy, timeless, and just dressy enough. I added my natural shell earrings—also J.Crew—for that extra coastal touch I love. (You know I’m all about those little details that feel like summer.)

The event was held at a private home on the coast of Nantucket. I don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere more picturesque. Think ocean views, a perfectly manicured lawn, the softest sea breeze, and guests mingling with glasses of chilled rosé in hand. There were incredible hors d’oeuvres floating around (yes, including the most delicious lobster rolls), and the whole thing felt like you were stepping into the pages of one of Elin’s novels.
The panel itself was so inspiring. Elin and the team talked about her upcoming book-to-screen projects, especially The Five-Star Weekend, which is being adapted into a limited series. Hearing from the screenwriter—who also wrote for This Is Us—was such a treat. You could tell everyone involved truly loves these stories and wants to bring that authentic Nantucket feeling to life onscreen. It made me even more excited to watch it all unfold.
This day was a reminder of why I love storytelling, both in books and in film, and how powerful it can be to gather in beautiful places with people who share that same passion. It was elegant, inspiring, and full of heart.
I left the garden party feeling totally refreshed, creatively recharged, and so grateful for the experience!
