Good morning! It feels so great to know that I can sleep in another day tomorrow! I love three day weekends! My summer trip to Maine was such a great vacation, I wanted to share one last post with you. First of all, Maine was so laid back and all I had on my daily agenda was a morning cup of coffee and strolling around the small harbor town of Camden. We did take a two hour trip north to Bar Harbor to hike in Acadia and we made sure to visit Jordan Pond for some delicious popovers. Family barbecues and a little wine at night were a few of the highlights. I wanted to mention that Elaine Turner sent me a pair of her oh-so-comfortable jelly sandals and I literally wore them the whole trip. They’re like walking on air! I got to choose the color and I went with this bright tomato color and everywhere I went women asked me where I got them. I really could have left all of my other shoes at home. I wore them everyday, all day except of course, when I went hiking. Let’s continue…I loved seeing the sailboats leave the harbor each morning and the fog settling in at night. Everywhere I looked was breathtaking and I could imagine owning a waterfront home there. Before we drove out of Maine I asked my husband to take me to Sea Bags, a beach bag company that I’ve been in love with FOREVER! It was like a dream come true walking up to the entrance of this quaint little store front shop in Portland. Sea Bags has grown tremendously since I started following them years ago and I was blessed to get a personal tour of the shop by the new CEO, Don. He was beyond gracious and gave me some behind the scenes updates on what his vision is for Sea Bags future. While I was there I got to see Sea Bags getting ready for the holidays. Christmas stocking patterns were being cut and Sea Bags was in full swing for fall and winter preparations. How fun is that! A Sea Bags Christmas stocking! Each bag, accessory and tote is made of recycled sails and sown by hand. Visiting Sea Bags was truly a highlight of my Maine trip. I’d love to know if you have ever been to Maine?

Maine is gorgeous and so is this post….my sisters husband is from there so they spend about 3 weeks every summer and we keep saying we are going to go up and meet them but hopefully next summer, we will make it happen. Whats not to love? It is so quaint, naturally beautiful and it means lobster every single day!
Love the sea bags and you look great…..beautiful pics!

We go to Maine every other summer with friends staying in different areas. We have been in Acadia, Portland, the lakes region, Moosehead Lake, and also Camden/Rockland. We have been to Boothbay Harbor and the Easternmost point of Maine. Lighthouses, breweries, whoopie pies,….I love all that Maine is! Luckily this coming summer is a Maine visit for us – we will be returning to the Camden area and hopefully visit Acadia and my first time on the Casco Bay boat tours outside of Portland.

My in-laws live in Kennebunkport on the ocean and it's an amazing place to visit. We'll be moving there in a few years for sure. I need to go to Sea Bags next time we're there since it's only about a half hour drive!
