Hi everyone! I hope this week is going well for you so far! Yesterday, my oldest son graduated from highschool! What a bittersweet week it’s been…tears have been flowing and I just can not believe that the years have flown by so quickly. I know he has a bright future ahead of him. He plans to study environmental engineering and by the grace of God was awarded a full scholarship to a four year university! His hard work and dedication has paid off even though he did contract a serious case of senioritis! LOL! He never reads my blog, but here it goes! Congratulations sweetheart! You make Mom, Dad and your brothers very proud! We love you!
Now, onto the gorgeous Hamptons house featured today… I thought that you would love it! The outdoor furniture, sconces and planters are all done in a beautiful coastal theme that is perfect for the Hamptons! I can imagine a nice gathering with delicious appetizers and summer drinks on the veranda while the kids run around and dive in the pool…

I’m back from a 22 day road trip through ten states! It’s so nice to be home and to be able to get back to blogging! We were up high in the mountains for most of the time without internet or phone service…which was liberating in a way.  I have a ton of reading to do, as I really want to backtrack and see what I’ve missed from my daily blog reads! I promise to share some vacation photos with you soon!

Happy 2012!  I hope this new year is treating you well so far! Thank you for all of the lovely comments about my upcoming birthday! You all are too sweet and it’s nice to know that age is just a matter of how you feel for the most part.  I do have many wonderful things to look forward to this year.  First of all, my boys sports are starting up again and it’s a treat to watch them play.  I’m also running in the marathon at the end of January and to tell you the truth…I’m excited, but I will also be happy when the training is over. Waking up at five in the morning on Saturdays to run 22 miles is not exactly something I look forward to. When I’m out there, though, I do try my best and think about how strong running has made me.  It’s definitely the hardest physical thing I’ve ever done.  When I started running the long runs, I would have to nap for hours afterwards, but now I can get cleaned up and do chores or go out with the family soon after.  I do see how my body has gotten use to the training and running 12 miles now is not a biggy.  I know that’s crazy! Trust me!  Well, let’s get on to the fun stuff! I always enjoy coming up with a list a things that I absolutely love and here’s what’s on my list today!

  1. I always fall in love with something when I come here and you just know I headed off to check out that bistro francais dinnerware up there….LOVE IT!! I am sooo impressed with your running skills, how inspirational and you must be in killer shape! (a goal this year for me to get more fit/lose some weight) but I know my head has to be clear for it…so waiting till I move though I have started walking when its not too cold!

  2. Happy New Year! Kudos to you for running a marathon! Isn't it amazing how when we train we soon surpass our own expectations for what we can do easily? I used to compete in triathlons (did a little more than a dozen) and I miss them. This year I'm going to do running races and paddleboard racing (during the summer months!) I'm so happy for you! Happy birthday too! XOXO.
