Our Christmas Tree

December 15, 2010

Welcome! I finally got around to decorating my tree and decided that I needed a Christmas tree make-over.  So I hopped in my car and headed over to Crate and Barrel for ornaments and Pottery Barn for a new treeskirt.  Yes, I spent a good penny and I still need more ornaments to fill up the tree, but I’m happy with the update.  Decorators usually like to change things frequently and I’m one of them.  It drives my hubby crazy, but after so many years of marriage bliss, he knows what to expect.  Thanks hunny!  With that said, I took a few pictures here and there of my home to share with you.  Hope you enjoy your visit!

My new treeskirt….love it!

Here’s a little before and after of my nightstand lamp before the holidays……

….and here it is now with a tartan lamp shade purchased from Williams Sonoma Home a few years ago.

I also bought tartan napkins last year to use as hand towels in the kitchen….I’m a sucker for stylish hand towels.
Okay….I bought everything tartan a few years ago including these chandelier shades…..still love them!

The tartan ribbons are also from Williams Sonoma Home.  I bought some gifts for myself and they used them in the wrapping.  I think I made those purchases just to get the ribbon!

It looks great! I have a similar tree skirt I had monogrammed that I love! White is always so fresh looking! I love all the plaid accents. I went to Crate and Barrel last weekend and was eyeing some super cute plaid pillows there! Lusting over your coffee table books and that lampshade!

Everything is simply gorgeous! I can't wait to show my friend DB over at Ranch Dressing your tartan. We've been looking everywhere for the stuff and can't find it! Looks like you bought yours a while back though. So happy to have found your lovely blog. I'm your newest follower and would be delighted to have you follow me back!
    Merry Christmas!
