I wanted to share a few (a lot of) photos with you from my recent road trip. We were fortunate enough to have returned safely back to Florida after driving through ten states within twenty-two days and I owe that to my husband for being such a great driver…love you hun. Our first stop, heading north, was at a gorgeous beach near Fernandina Beach, Florida where we hiked four miles. I would have taken more photos of myself on the beach but the wind was so strong my hair whipped up into a huge mess after only spending hours getting it vacation ready…lol 🙂
Next stop, NC to visit my Dad, step-mother and sister. My father was in town from Africa, where he is currently working. My step-mother was the sweetest hostess and cooked us delicious meals. Each one was out-of-this-world! The photo above was the Italian feast she prepared including, eggplant parmesan. I must get the recipe from her and share it! Crazy good!
{coffee in hand, a little country music on the radio…on our way to Cooperstown, NY}

{my girl cousins in NY decided to treat me to a little day trip to Southampton…we had a great time in the car talking about life and what we are currently reading…love these girls}
{…and here’s a big Thank You to my blogging BFF, Tina from THE ENCHANTED HOME, for recommending where to go while we were there! As always, you’re the best sweetie!}
{it wouldn’t be considered a shopping trip to me unless there was a J.Crew involved…}
{I tried on this cute ikat t-shirt dress}
{my favorite hydrangeas grow everywhere in the Hamptons…jealous}
{ordered a few bottles of wine with the girls…}
{had a delicious, yummy dinner in Southampton}
{we were on our way to the Mountains in NC, but took the wrong exit coming out of Long Island and guess where we ended up? I thought my husband was going to blow his top, but we just all laughed so hard! That was funny! New York, New York…hahaha}
{Hooker Falls…NC}
