This is going to be a special week here at Beautifully Seaside, as I help spread the word about Breast Cancer Awareness and the need to donate to worthy causes. This time last year, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in the earliest stage and made a full recovery after a lumpectomy and radiation. We are grateful for her doctors and nurses who helped her throughout the process. Her faith kept her going, even though some days were much harder than others.
You may recall my visit to Sea Bags while vacationing in Maine two summers ago. Sea Bags makes all of their beautiful nautical bags and accessories from reclaimed sailcloths, which happens to be one of the reasons why I’m a big fan of theirs. This year Sea Bags launched their 9th Annual Cure Campaign to help raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Research by designing a limited collection Pink Lobster Cure Tote, Pink Lobster Cure Clutch and coordinating Pink Lobster Cure Wristlet. From October 1- December 31, 20% of the proceeds of the Sea Bags ‘cure’ sales will go directly to the American Cancer Society.
