MEMORIAL DAY OUTFIT // SUMMER BEACH TUNIC

Good morning everyone! I just have to start out by saying that I’m so happy my dad’s in town for a few days. We had a big pizza party last night and watched basketball with my boys. I love family time and catching up with my dad, who is now living in North Carolina. For many years, my father lived out of the country. He actually moved out of the country for work two days after I got married twenty-three years ago. He’s lived in Mexico, Venezuela, Peru and most recently Nairobi, Kenya.

He loves to travel and while living in Africa he went on a mission trip to Somalia to help refugees in a relief camp. He said that was a life changing event bringing food and clothes to so many people who literally had nothing. His mission to that dangerous territory reminds me of how blessed we are in America to have food, water, and shelter. And with Memorial Day coming up soon, I pray for our service men and women, who lost their lives to protect our country.

Every Memorial Day, our family gets together (the girls are always dress in red, white, and blue) to celebrate this special holiday in the Keys, where we have brunch and go for a little boat ride. Later in the evening we usually have dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in the Keys and end the night with coffee and dessert.
