FAMILY CHRISTMAS PHOTO TRADITION

I love mailing Christmas photo cards to all my friends and family, so last weekend I traveled to the Keys with my husband and three sons to take our Christmas card photos. Islamorada is one of my favorite places to shoot looks for the blog and I was so happy it was all dressed up for Christmas! We wore shades of blue and neutrals to make it easy and I added a little sparkle with my holiday shoes I bought from J.Crew years ago. 

After our photos we met up with my Father-in-Law for dinner in Islamorada. My boys always look forward to spending time with their grandparents, so our Sunday ending up being a beautiful blessing and I was happy we got our photo for the Christmas card. Thank you Jesus!

 

Tips For Taking Family Christmas Photos

With College Age Kids

First let everyone know how important this is to you. LOL! (Trust me it works!) Then, plan out a day and time to take the photos. You’ll need someone to take the photos. My sweet Mother-in-Love was the photographer! It doesn’t take a long time. We were done in about 15 minutes. Finally, edit your photos if needed. I use Lightroom to lighten and soften them up a bit. Finally, order them online! I ordered this design from Minted as soon as I got home.

 

Our Christmas cards should arrive on Wednesday and I’ll make sure to send them out the same day and update this post with a picture of them. What are your Christmas card traditions?
