A QUICK DAY TRIP TO ST. AUGUSTINE FLORIDA

April 6, 2019

My husband and I enjoyed a fun spring break together and I wanted to share what we did for the day in St. Augustine, Florida. We drove from our hotel in Gainesville to St. Augustine which was about an hour and forty-five minutes away. It was a nice ride through the countryside to get to St. Augustine where we had lunch at the yummiest restaurant called, The Floridian. If you’re ever in St. Augustine, make sure you have lunch at this restaurant. Our lunch was so delicious and I was able to track my macros for Faster Way to Fat Loss easily.

Outfit Details

J.Crew Floral Top / J.Crew White Denim Jean Shorts / Steven White Greece Slides / Bobbi Brown Blush in Nectar / Wacoal Embrace Bra / Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick The Duchess / Celine Sunglasses / J.Crew Canvas Tote Bag (last year-sold out) / Essie Fiji Nail Polish

We both ordered salads and fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. I only had one of the fried tomatoes and felt totally satisfied. Now, I’m dreaming of them and could eat the whole plate full. They were so good!

Coffee in St. Augustine Florida

After lunch, we went to the coffee shop next door called, Relampago Coffee Lab and the barista created this gorgeous latte for me! I was in heaven. A delicious lunch with my hubby and yummy coffee! We were having the best time!

After we walked around Old St. Augustine for a while we headed over to the beach in St. Augustine. Next time we’re going to pack our lounge chairs and umbrella, because we could have stayed there for hours listening to the waves. After a couple of hours on the beach, it was time to head back Gainesville to have dinner with our son.

St. Augustine Beach Tip: There is free parking along AIA Beach Blvd. We parked on 8th street, however if you want to be closer to bathrooms, I would recommend parking a couple of blocks north of 8th street where the pier is located. There’s also a little splash play area for the little kids at the pier entrance.

I live on the west coast and have always wanted to visit Florida beaches. I’ll have to put St. Augustine on my list 😊
