Playing with new makeup can be so much fun! Last weekend I replaced some beauty products and ended up buying a bunch of new items for my cruise.
Eyes, eyes, eyes
I wanted to achieve a fresh new look with my makeup, so I enlisted the help of a lovely woman at Bloomingdales to help me. I spent about an hour and a half with her and learned so much about what colors go best with my greenish-blue eyes. She introduced me to this Bobbi Brown Black Plum eye shadow and Melting Point Luxe eye shadow to achieve a modern look that makes my eye color stand out. I guess I’ve been wearing the wrong color before. Lol! Hopefully, I will be able to apply it similarly to how she did.
Lips
I bought this Laura Mercier Lip Gloss that looks amazing on and does not feel sticky. I was happy that this one worked out! The lip gloss color looks so pretty layered over my new Chanel Rouge lipstick called Ami (486). Ami is such a fun summer color that pops.
The final touch
One of the main beauty products I wanted to get was a lighter shade of Bobbi Brown’s under-eye concealer. I love this concealer, however, I wanted to brighten up my eyes and needed to go lighter. I really rely on my makeup to make my skin look and feel more youthful. With the right makeup, I believe I’m able to achieve the look I desire. A little blush on the cheeks and the right lipstick makes all the difference in the world. I hope you enjoy this update on what’s new in my makeup bag.
