Good morning everyone! I took a poll this weekend on my Instastories to see what kind of content my readers would love to see on my blog and they were many requests to share more healthy living posts. I was so happy to see that so many women are inspired to get healthy in 2019 and make better choices in what they decide to eat on a daily basis and break free from eating junk. I’m not an expert in this, just someone who decided she had enough of eating junk food and wanted to change how she ate in 2019. Well, I’m happy to say that after nine months of joining the Faster Way to Fat Loss lifestyle, I’m still eating healthy and exercising regularly.

The only downfall I had was during the summer on the seven-day cruise. After a few days of not liking the meat choices, I succumbed to eating loads of french fries, oatmeal cookies, and nachos. The consequence of eating like that for a week proved to be a huge mistake for me. I had stomach pain, was bloated, and felt terrible both mentally and physically. In that week alone, I gained a significant amount of fat and had to do something about it when I got home. I thanked the Lord that Faster Way to Fat Loss was planning a detox for 10 days starting on August 19th. I’ve never done a detox before and had no clue what it entailed, however, I was ready and determined to get back to feeling healthy again.
The best part of the detox was that it had a menu to follow. I used to say I didn’t need a menu plan to follow, because originally Faster Way to Fat Loss didn’t have a menu plan. After following the Detox plan with the FWTFL Membership, I learned quickly that I love a menu plan! It made it so easy to follow and the fat fell off big time in the first week. Done. I was back to my healthy size and feeling great! I’m pay monthly to be in the Faster Way Membership and I love the menu choices they send us every Friday for the next week. It’s so helpful and easy to follow. I want to share some tips I’ve learned this year on how to break free from eating junk food all of the time.
How to Break Free From Eating Junk Food all the Time
Set a Goal
Goal setting is key here. It’s fun to have something to look forward to. Whether it’s a season like summer or the holidays, usually we’re hoping to feel great in time for the event. Maybe you have a special occassion coming up like a wedding or birthday celebration. Something that you want to look and feel better before the event arrives. For me it was summer. I was tired of feeling bloated every summer. Last year, I don’t think I wore a bathing suit all summer long, because I was always feeling bloated. I was sick and tired of feeling that way, so I signed up with FWTFL for the January 7th round, which was my birthday week.
I lost 5 pounds that very first week. And I know it was the inflammation disappearing which made my fat loss seem so high. The bloated feeling diminished the very first day. You can read all about my fat loss journey here.
After my cruise I knew I needed to get back on track for my Nantucket trip, so that was my recent goal I set. I feel great in all the clothes I’m packing and excited that I was able to hop right back on this healthy eating lifestyle after a week on that cruise. I haven’t had any sugar or coffee since August 19th and don’t miss it, however I’m looking forward to treating myself to a morning cup of coffee and icecream from The Juicebar while in Nantucket.
Prepare Food Beforehand
This is another key way to ensure that you stay on track with healthy eating. I found that if I prepared my lunch and dinner beforehand, I was more likely to have a successful day of healthy eating. It helps to have glass storage containers handy to pack your lunch and dinner, that way you eat whatever you put in there. I highly suggest preparing your lunch or dinner the night before.
Use an App to Track What You are Eating
With Faster Way to Fat Loss, we use My Fitness Pal which I love using. You are able to track all of your macros easily. I set goals for myself when I began the FWTFL lifestyle and can see the progress I’ve made. Faster Way to Fat Loss is in the process of creating their own app to use, which is super exciting!
Fill Your Refrigerator and Pantry with Healthy Choices
On any given day, I can find lots of healthy choices in my refrigerator, much more than in the past. I always have fresh berries, bananas, almonds, spinach, and more available to snack on. So when I’m in the mood to have a tastly treat there are many healthy choices to pick from. Stay away from processed and junk food. Don’t buy them or leave them in your pantry.
Keep Up with Your Exercise
It’s important to me to get out of the house and walk for at least 60 minutes a day. Walking, for some reason, is my choice of exercise these days so I make sure to walk fast to burn more fat. I also feel that walking outside in the fresh air is therapeutic. I pray, listen to my favorite praise songs and catch up with my family. My parents know that if I call in the early evening I’m usually on my daily walk. For me sweating for at least 60 minutes a day helps with not craving junk food.
