I’ve been on a reading roll and loved all the books I read in December 2020 and January 2021. I didn’t do a recap of what I read in December, so I’m going to add those books to this post. Over all I read four books; two in December and two in January. I consider this a success, since I haven’t read in such a long time. It’s been fun to carve out time in each day to read and I’ve excited to share what I thought about these books. Enjoy this January 2021 Book review! My very first ever!
JANUARY 2021 BOOK REVIEW
Majesty American Royals II
I just finished Majesty American Royals II (also here) tonight and I really enjoyed it! It’s the sequel to American Royals (also here) and as you can tell by the title it’s about royalty in America. I loved the way the author, Katherine McGee, tells the story of what it would be like if the United States had a royal family. It’s about forbidden love, betrayal, and more! As you read you get to understand each character as the author shares what’s happening from each of their point of views. I highly recommend both these books!
One Day in December
I loved, One Day in December (also here)! It was one of Reece Witherspoon’s Book Club picks and it’s a good one! It’s about a girl who sees a boy from afar and she feels like it’s love at first sight. She spends a year trying to find him again and then the story gets really good. I thought it was thoroughly entertaining and a fun read.
The Twelve Dates of Christmas
This was a really fun book to read! A 34 year old Kate joins a dating agency after being encouraged to do so by her best friend. This dating agency promises to help singles find love before the holidays offering twelve dates with twelve different men. Hence, The Twelve Dates of Christmas title (also here). Some dates are absolutely disastrous and some, well- you’ll have to read it for yourself. It’s a fun read!
The Royal Holiday
The Royal Holiday (also here) is by New York Times Best Selling Author, Jasmine Guillory and I loved this book. I actually started reading it over a year ago and never finished. I pretty much had to start all over again and really enjoyed it. It’s about a woman who gets to travel to England with her daughter who is going to style a royal family member for the Christmas season. She meets the personal assistant to the Queen and they get to know each other. It’s a beautiful romantic story that I loved.
