I’m on a summer recipe kick and this week I’m sharing an easy dessert for summer gatherings that kids and adults alike, seem to love. The only thing I decided to not include while making these cookies was icing. Most of us are watching what we eat in the summer and adding delicious icing would have made the calorie count go way up. So feel free to add icing to your sugar cookies if you’d like to. And, normally when I make sugar cookies I use Martha Stewart’s sugar cookie recipe, but today I opted to go with Betty Crocker, where I just added butter, one egg and some flour. Honestly, Martha Stewart’s recipe is just as simple to use and the cookies are so buttery good! I also let the cookies cool down for a few minutes on a cooling rack before I sprinkled them with the sanding sugar. Enjoy!
