Number 1 | Stroll on over to Cuban Coffee Queen and grab an iced coffee and Cuban sandwich. I even heard they deliver!
Number 2 | Just around the corner from the Cuban Coffee Queen is this beautiful marina where you can walk around and hop on a sailboat tour.
Number 3 | Mac’s Sea Garden has everything you can think of when it comes to Key West style souvenirs and it’s great for taking pictures.
Number 4 | You’ll find quite a few things to do in the Mallory Square area including jumping on the Old Town Trolley Tours (rating #1 on Tripadvisor), which we always do when we visit Key West. The trolley tour is great because the driver gives you some history of old Key West, while offering 13 stops around town to hop on and off. Trust me- you’ll want to try out the trolley especially on hot summer days.
Number 5 | Key West Aquarium is a fun place for the little ones! So if you’re traveling to Key West with kids, make sure you take them to the aquarium. There’s a touch tank where the kids can handle all kinds of sea creatures! Make sure you bring your camera. We didn’t get to visit it this time around, which is why I borrowed this photo from the aquarium.
Number 6 | Key West Shipwreck Treasures Museum– learn history about some salvaged shipwrecks and more.
Number 7 | Shell Warehouse is probably my favorite place to shop in Key West. If you’re looking for the perfect Key West souvenir, you’ll definitely find it here.
Number 8 | Conch fritters and Key West pink shrimp- this might have been our fifth order of both in just three days where we stayed. All I have to say about this is- YUM! By the way, the Pier House in Key West is in walking distance to practically everything. I would say it’s in the perfect location and has a small beach area and pool where you can order pina coladas galore and appetizers.
Number 9 | Ice cream, icees and gelato! I mentioned the need to cool off while you’re in Key West and my family lost count on how many freezing cold treats we enjoyed while we were there.
Number 10 | Key West sunsets on Mallory Square are a must. We got to see two of them on this short trip and both were beautiful. We also saw sailboats checking out the view- something we’ll need to try next time.
I wanted to share a little about what we did in Key West last week. I hope this inspires you to visit Margaritaville…
