Good morning friends! Welcome to a new series for 2016 titled Aloha Weekend! When I think of the word aloha, I see palm trees, pina coladas and a gorgeous sunset, however I knew I had to change the name from Weekend Picks to Aloha Weekend when I found out that aloha in the Hawaiian language means- affection, peace, compassion and mercy. Those four words encompass what 2016 means to me and I honestly had the chills when I read the true meaning of aloha. Just another confirmation from God, that he is near.
So, with this new post name I hope you will continue to follow me here on my Aloha Weekends to see what’s inspiring me in fashion and home design. Which brings us to today’s post. Everything here is perfectly beachy- just how I like it! So, if you’re looking to freshen things up a bit in your home or beach house, feel free to click on any item to get the shopping details. Yes, every Aloha Weekend collage will be a CLICK to SHOP post!
Thank you for visiting me today! XO, Desiree

I like this! Nice idea and I didn't realize that Aloha had an even nicer meaning than just 'hello.'
We just got our first blast of cold winter temperatures here in Toronto, so I'm happy to read things that make me think of warmer sunnier weather to get me through the next two months, until signs of spring appear!
Something about the post-Christmas period also gets me into decorating mode. Perfect timing for this post as I like to refresh things here and there at home. Aloha!

Thank you Sunny! I'm so happy that you like the new post name. I thought the real meaning was too precious not to use. And I have to say, I'm wishing we had some cold weather here in Miami! Stay safe and warm this winter and thank you so much for visiting my blog! You are the sweetest! XO, Desiree

Well I will have to say Mahalo in return (and yes, it has more meanings other than a simple thank you). Love this Desiree. Happy New Year!
