Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going well so far. Today, I’m here to update you on how the Kayla Itsines BBG fitness program is going for me. I’d like to start out by saying that there’s definitely some sort of science behind her fitness routine. Last, week I forgot to pack sneakers for my vacation in Sarasota and that proved to be a big problem for me. I ended up doing one BBG workout barefooted and my feet were not happy and I broke a toenail. LOL! Needless to say, I didn’t get much exercise and enjoyed dessert every night with the family. I thought for sure I would have to start all over, however that was not the case. I came home feeling the same as I did before vacation and was so happy! Her workouts really do target the whole body and I’m seeing a change in the way my clothes fit! I’m still not weighing myself. At this point, I don’t feel like I’m stuffed in my shorts or jeans and my fitted tops feel less tight.
The BBG fitness program calls for three resistance training sessions a week and three days walking (cardio). Meaning- one day BBG, the next day walk, and so on. On my cardio days, I make sure to walk at least one hour. The program says to do cardio 35-45 min, so I feel I’m getting in a little extra workout each time and sometimes I walk and do BBG the same day.
Someone recently asked me if I’m running right now and actually I decided not to, because it’s too much on my knees to do both the BBG and running. I have a sensitive knee that I’m trying to get stronger right now.

Here’s a pair of Zella ‘Live In’ crop leggings that I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access! They’re priced under $30 and soooo comfortable! I guess that’s why they call them ‘Live In’. I ordered these in a small and they fit perfect. The tee is old, however I ordered this Zella Open Back Tank to wear with these leggings.

Here’s what I ordered: Zella pants here and here, Zella tank, sports bra in my normal size, and these Nike sneakers in a half size larger than my normal size. Everything else here is on my wishlist! I tried on the track shorts (in a medium) and they’re so yummy! By yummy, I mean- they’re ultra comfortable and breezy. A pair of shorts I can also wear all day while lounging around at home!
