A few weeks ago, I came across this traditional Portuguese fishing hut that was renovated for modern living by Aires Mateus and Assoc. The unique sand floor is warmed by a radiant-heat system and the kitchen island is made of white corian. This home does seem different from the normal beach homes in that….there is sand on the floor. It took me quite a few trips to the website to decide that yes, I can appreciate a true coastal home that is beyond the beach.

Just to have this as an out door area to have friends and family. It would be fun. Oh, don't forget the beach house to go along with it.
That is so interesting though because I hate sand between my toes I could never live with a floor made of sand, what a relaxing way to live though.
