Hi everyone! I’ve gotten so many questions about how I’m doing on the Faster Way to Fat Loss program. Well, I’m excited to share that I love this program! In the past, it has been difficult for me to shed the 20+ pounds I’ve gained over the years. I’m thrilled that FWTFL has been a breakthrough for me, as I can tell that my clothes are bigger on me and I feel so much healthier. The photos above were taken at the end of week 2 (left) and week 4 (right). I lost many inches and went down a size and a half in dresses by the end of week 4.
I’m officially on Week 5 of the program right now and can’t believe that my first round is almost over. If you’re interested in the FWTFL, the next round begins with a PREP WEEK on February 11th. Then you’ll officially begin the program on Feb 18th. I’m going to begin my second round on the 18th as well. My goal is to lose 23 pounds all together, and as I get closer to reaching that goal I will access if it’s best weight for me. For the record, I was 148 pounds when I started on January 7th. Here are some of my non-scale victories from being on the FWTFL so far!
My Faster Way to Fat Loss Journey Non-Scale Victories!
My shirts do not fit tight on me anymore.
I went down a size and a half in dresses.
My jeans fit me like they’re supposed to. No more muffin top.
My bra fits like it’s supposed to.
No more bloating.
I don’t feel inflammation like I used to.
My shorts. I had all these adorable shorts that were so tight on me and now they’re loose!
Now that everything fits me better, I have more options to wear in my closet.
Below, I’m answering some basic questions that I get asked all of the time. I hope that I’m able to shed some light on what this program is all about. Feel free to ask more questions in the comment section below and I will make sure to answer them right away.
WHAT IS THE FASTER WAY TO FAT LOSS?
The FWTFL is an online fitness and nutrition program that focuses on intermittent fasting, carb cycling, and macro tracking. We learn the proper way to fuel our bodies at the right time in an effort to burn fat effectively.
WHAT IS A MACRO?
A macronutrient is our proteins, fats, and carbs. These macros are what we track daily utilizing the MY FITNESS PAL APP. If you have no clue what a macro is, don’t worry. I had no idea what it was either and learned fast.
DO WE FAST EVERYDAY?
Yes, we intermittent fast every day. We consume all of our calories within an eight-hour feeding window. My window is from 12 – 8pm.
DO I HAVE TO BELONG TO A GYM?
You can work out from home or the gym. There are beginner versions and modifications for those who may need variations. Personally, I work out from home.

Your results are encouraging! Do you mind answering how tall are you and how much have you lost now at end of week 4? Have you followed it exactly? How much time a day do you spend exercising? I’m definitely considering the Feb 11 round….I also have 20 to lose after my third daughter and she’s 11 :). How long do you think it will take for you to reach your goal? Appreciate you sharing your experience!

Hi Elizabeth! You’re welcome! I’m so happy to share what’s working, because nothing else really worked for me in the past. I’m 5’5″ and by Week 4 I lost 11 pounds. (You’re not really supposed to weigh yourself, but I did) I haven’t followed the workouts exactly. The first two weeks, I didn’t work out, but since then I walk/run for an hour everyday. I’m hoping to reach my goal before the end of my second round. My starting weight was 148 pounds and my goal weight is 125 pounds. It’s been a long time since I’ve been at that weight. I pretty much half way there!
Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. 🙂

Hi Desiree!
Sorry to repeat this so often but so happy you posted about this 6 weeks ago! I’ve been on the same journey as you. My goal is 20 pounds but would be happy with 25. I started at 180 and am down to 173. I’m menopausal, 57, and 5’8”. Wuth my age and hormones, I was unsure if it would work. I’m just thrilled it has. Iv already signed up for another 6 weeks and will continue until I’ve reached my goal.
It’s so wonderful to eat real food again and not be afraid.
For anyone on the fence, no one was more skeptical than me. I’ve tried it all.

Yay Mary! I’m so excited for you! Thank you for sharing your journey as well! You are so right! It really works and I’m also enjoying eating real healthy food. We’re on our way of healthier versions of ourselves and it feels awesome! Such a blessing!
I also meant to share that my husband was so skeptical of me trying this program. Yesterday I asked him what he thought of me being on this program and what he would answer if someone asked him about me being on FWTFL and he said that YES it actually works and is a lifestyle that my wife has chosen to follow that really made a difference in her losing weight. He’s on board, just by seeing me on this program for almost 5 whole weeks.
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback Mary! I know it takes time to do that and I’m grateful that you take the time. Blessings! XO

Hi, I am interested in starting a program like this and would like to begin as soon as possible however I will be gone on a trip out of the country for 2 weeks beginning March7th (Most of our meals will be included). Is this program conducive to traveling (I won’t have access to cooking my own meals or exercising other than walking). Would you recommend I wait until my return?
desiree says
Hi Karen,
That is a great question! I know it can be done while on vacation, because last spring I traveled to Italy for 11 days with most of my meals included and I definitely could have made it work. However, on this program we don’t eat bread or pasta, so you may feel left out if you’re out of the country and have to skip those favorites. In Italy we had bread with every meal and it was something not to miss. However, if you really want to start now you can, then do your best while on vacation and make sure you sign up for a second round, which I would highly recommend. I personally wish I started this program before I left to Italy last March, because I would have had the knowledge of healthy macros while I was in Italy. Instead I was bloated most of the time and uncomfortable in my clothes. The intermittent fasting would definitely have worked, because you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. I saw a huge difference the first week in on this program, which was enough to really get me motivated, so starting before your trip may be beneficial.
Let me know if this helps or if I can answer any more questions for you! XO

Thank you for being such a bright spot in my day and putting out such positive and happy energy:). I am signed up for FWFL starting tomorrow!! So exciting! I had a quick question for you about morning coffee. I, too, am a wife, mother, and teacher. I love starting my day early with a nice cup of coffee:). Will I still be able to do this? Thank you so much for always taking time to answer questions.
Have a wonderful day~

Hi Desiree,
I’ve noticed the meals that you’ve been posting on Instagram as part of your FWFL program – does everything have to be “home cooked”? Also, do your husband and sons eat the same meal as you do on FWFL program?

Hi!
I want to start tomorrow but every time i go in to register it says March 11th. I can’t wait that long to start. I know you are supposed to do a prep week but i have been researching this program for awhile and really need to start tomorrow. Do you know if it’s possible to start that soon?
