Good morning everyone! Thank you for all the feedback you’ve been sharing with me about my Nantucket trip! I’m so happy that you’re enjoying the content so far. Actually, I have about ten Nantucket/Newburyport posts coming your way, in which I’ll share in chronological order. This helps me to stay organized while I write out the posts. I thought you may be interested to learn how this beautiful trip came to be, including my first dinner in Nantucket wearing my favorite dress!
Mini Backstory
I was contacted last year to partner with a company to feature a trip to Nantucket and Newburyport highlighting where to stay, where to eat, and fun places to shop. Talk about answered prayers. If you ask anyone in my family, they will tell you that all I talked about was traveling to Nantucket one day. I feel so honored that they asked me to partner with them and I hope that I was able to capture these beautiful destinations and inspire you to visit them one day. For starters, I have to tell you that my husband has been talking about Nantucket non-stop since we got home. He raves about it and understands now why I was so fascinated with the idea of vacationing there one day. It’s that good. And even better!
While thinking of what to pack for Nantucket, I knew I wanted to bring a stand out dress that was super fun! I ordered this dress, not knowing what to think and when it arrived I knew it was, THE ONE! Not only is it dreamy, it’s also comfortable and flattering. My husband thought it looked great on me and I value his opinion. Just like that, this beautiful tiered dress went into my suitcase for this trip. I decided to wear it to my very first dinner on the island and by the big smile on my face you can tell I was super happy to shoot this look in Nantucket. The weather was perfect, my hair was bouncy and I was feeling so happy to be here! My husband/photographer was thrilled to be here too!
This dress will forever be, my Nantucket dress!
Before dinner we set out to find the restaurant LoLa 41, where we had a dinner reservation that evening. It was literally around the corner from our lovely little cottage at the White Elephant. Wait until I share more details on our Lilly Cottage tomorrow! Pretty much things just kept getting better and better by the minute. Once we learned where Lola 41 was, we decided to walk around town a little and found, The Juice Bar, that every raves about. I had to shoot some photos there! Then, we walked a little further in town and found the famous painted wall with the compass rose. Shot some photos there as well! Now I know why you really do not need a car in Nantucket. Everything is in walking distance from eachother.
Dinner at Lola 41 was PERFECTION! Not only was the place adorable on the outside, it was a fun place with great upbeat music and incredible food! We thought it was the perfect date night restaurant. I also saw women there with friends for a girls dinner, which looked like so much fun too. My husband ordered the tuna and avocado poke salad and lacquered baby back ribs. I ordered the grilled salmon and a dessert with pretzels. Everything was delicious! When you visit Nantucket make sure to make reservations at LoLa 41! I bet you’re going to love it as much as we did.
I hope you enjoyed this post today featuring my favorite dress I wore to dinner in Nantucket! In case you missed it, I shared my Nantucket travel look yesterday and how we got to the island. Stand tuned for another Nantucket post tomorrow!
