Every time I start planning my Nantucket suitcase, I think about how I want to feel while I’m there. Effortless, a little romantic, coastal of course—but most of all, comfortable in a way that still feels special. I want to wear pieces that move with the breeze, take me from morning coffee runs to golden hour spritzes, and capture that dreamy, slow-summer mood I look forward to all year.
These are just a few of the outfits I’m packing for our upcoming trip—specifically for the special dinners we have planned while we’re on the island. From charming restaurants in town to sunset meals by the harbor, these are the pieces I know will feel just right.
And of course, this is just the beginning! I’ll be sharing more of what I’m packing in the days ahead, so make sure to check back for updates.
Outfits I’m Packing for the Island—Plus the One Thing I’m Leaving Behind
A Pineapple-Pink Slip Dress I’ll Have Forever
This dress makes me smile every time I look at it. The soft pink hue, the subtle pineapple print, the dreamy slip silhouette—it’s everything I want in a summer dress. It’s one of those rare pieces that feels playful and timeless, and I already know it’s something I’ll wear for years to come. I plan to pair it with a cardigan and sandals for dinners out and beach walks at sunset.

A Linen Vest & Wide-Leg Pant Set
This matching set might be my favorite outfit formula of the season. The vest is perfectly tailored and the wide-leg pants are breezy and flattering in the best way. It’s one of those sets you can dress up or down depending on the day—and it’s ideal for Nantucket’s easygoing yet polished style. I’ll pair it with flat leather sandals and minimal gold jewelry for that coastal-modern feel.

A Flowing Embroidered Dress
This blue and white floral midi dress has the prettiest embroidery and a soft, flowy skirt that makes every step feel a little more graceful. It’s the kind of piece you can wear to brunch, the market, or just to wander around town with a straw tote and sandals. I’ll wear it with a cardigan on breezier evenings.

And the One Thing I’m Leaving Behind
Kitten heel sandals. While they’re technically comfortable and do add a bit of polish, I’ve realized I just never reach for them on the island. There’s something about Nantucket that makes me want to pare things back—walk more, dress down, and embrace simplicity. Flat sandals, espadrilles, and slides are all I need this time around.
I’ll be sharing these outfits (and more!) while I’m on Nantucket, so stay tuned for real-time coastal style updates. And if you’re planning a summer trip soon, I hope this gave you some inspiration for your own suitcase!
