Desiree’s Friday Favorites 6.19.26

Happy Friday, friend! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week. I had almost forgotten how relaxed summertime feels, and honestly, I’m enjoying every minute of it. Today I thought it would be fun to bring back a classic Desiree’s Friday Favorites filled with things I’m loving this season, a few wishlist items, what I’m working on behind the scenes, and more. Consider this a little old-school blog post—the kind we all loved reading back in the day.

What I’m Reading

First things first, my plan today is to finish up some blog work and then spend a little time outside soaking up the sunshine. I could definitely use a little glow and some quiet time to start a new book that Talbots recently sent me, Dolly All the Time. Have you read it? It sounds like such a fun summer read.

Speaking of books, thank you to everyone who has already pre-ordered my friend Morgan’s new book, Bipolar Blonde. The pre-sale is happening now, and you can order it through her Buru site (where she’ll include a personal note) or on Amazon. I can’t wait to read it and support her in this exciting season.

Nantucket 2026

As for Nantucket, we haven’t finalized our plans yet. Since we took our Alaska cruise this summer, we’ve been taking our time deciding when we’ll make it back to the island. I definitely hope to visit sometime this year—perhaps even during a different season. Of course, I’ll share all the details once our plans are set.

My J.Crew Haul

I also placed a rather large J.Crew order this week and paid a little extra for next-day delivery, so everything should be arriving today. I picked up several pieces of summer jewelry that were marked down, a few cute tanks, and two pairs of shoes that I couldn’t resist. Everything was on sale, which made it even more tempting! I’ve linked everything below if you’re curious, and I can’t wait to start wearing it all. P.S. Everything was on sale.

Healthy Choices

Now that I’m home from our cruise—and no longer making daily visits to the Windjammer buffet on Royal Caribbean (if you know, you know)—it’s time to get back into my normal routine. That means focusing on healthier meals, daily walks, strength training, and taking better care of myself overall. I’m even considering purchasing a full-size treadmill for those hot Florida days when outdoor walks aren’t quite as appealing. If you have one you absolutely love, I’d be so grateful for your recommendations.

I also recently started using the Verocity plant-based protein powder, and it’s been a great addition to my routine. It’s designed to help support appetite control while providing steady, sustainable energy throughout the day—which is exactly what I need right now. The best part? It tastes delicious. If you’re looking for an easy way to add more protein to your diet or could use a little extra energy during the day, this one is definitely worth checking out.

New Dewy Serum for Sensitive Skin

One of the things I’m most grateful for about my job is the opportunity to discover and try new beauty products before sharing them with you. When I truly love something, I can’t wait to pass it along.

About a week ago, I started using the Erly Dew Illuminating Serum, and I have been so impressed. It was specifically formulated for women with sensitive, reactive skin, which immediately caught my attention because my skin is incredibly sensitive. Finding products that work without causing irritation can be a challenge, so this has felt like such a wonderful discovery.

Not only does it feel beautiful on my skin, but it’s quickly becoming a product I look forward to using every day. If you also struggle with sensitive skin, I highly recommend taking a look at the entire Erly line, which is available on their website and at Ulta. I have a feeling you’ll be hearing much more about this brand from me in the months ahead!

My New Love for Humpback Whales

I know this sounds funny, but I still can’t stop thinking about the beautiful humpback whale we saw in Alaska. At one point, it lifted its tail high into the air, and it was one of those moments I’ll never forget. If you’d like to see the video, be sure to check out my Alaska Highlights on Instagram.

Ever since returning home, I’ve found myself drawn to whale-inspired decor as a way to remember that incredible trip. I ordered this adorable whale basket set that I’m planning to use for storing the Alaska books and toys I bought for my grandson. I also picked up this whale tail decor piece that’s currently on sale and can’t wait to find the perfect spot for it. Something tells me this is just the beginning of my whale collection!

I’d love to hear what’s bringing you joy this week. Are you reading anything good, planning a summer trip, or treating yourself to something fun? Let me know in the comments—I always love catching up with you.
