A Day in My Life as a Content Creator

I’ve always wanted to share a “day in the life” post, and after one of the clients I’m working with asked me about my daily schedule, I thought this would be the perfect time!
This is what a typical weekday looks like when I’m not watching my precious grandson—my schedule is a little different on those days.
I usually wake up naturally around 6:30 a.m., without an alarm. As soon as I get out of bed, Goldie starts barking for me to take her with me. She knows perfectly well how to jump off the bed, but she insists that I pick her up and place her gently on the floor. Sometimes we snuggle for a little while before I get up, but today I have a 9:00 a.m. Zoom meeting, so I get moving right away.
While my decaf coffee is brewing, I settle into a cozy spot to begin the homework for the new Catholic Bible study I joined at my church this week. I don’t want to wait until the last minute to complete it, so I’m getting an early start—and I’m so excited! We’re studying the Book of Joshua.
This is also when I pray for my day, my family, and everyone who may need my prayers right now. Starting my morning this way always helps me feel peaceful, focused, and ready for the day ahead.
When my husband wakes up, we have coffee together and enjoy a little time before our day gets busy. It’s one of my favorite parts of the morning.
Next, I throw on some comfortable clothes and take Goldie for her morning walk. Once we’re back home, I get dressed and freshen up because it’s usually hot and muggy outside here in Miami!
Then it’s time to begin my workday.
Today, I have a one-hour Zoom meeting with a woman who wants to start a business like mine. These sessions have been so much fun for me! I used to be a teacher and tutor, so helping women in this way feels very natural. The women I’ve worked with tell me how helpful our conversations are! They feel excited about starting their own side businesses.
After my Zoom meeting, I begin the blog and content work I do each day. I keep a checklist in the Notes app on my iPhone and check things off as I complete them. It’s a simple system, but it helps me stay organized and focused.
This usually takes from 4-8 hours a day, with little breaks in between. Right now, I’m working especially hard to grow my business, so I’m putting a lot of time and energy into it—and thankfully, it’s paying off!
Today, I also want to create content featuring the beautiful new bedding I received from Serena & Lily. I’ll wash and dry everything, style the bed, and take photos and videos to share on my blog and social media.
Once most—or hopefully all—of my posting is complete, I make time to exercise. I usually go for a long walk to the park and then do a workout with weights.
In the evening, my husband makes dinner because he loves to cook. I’m very blessed—it’s like having my own personal chef at home!
If my husband is watching sports after dinner, I’ll usually browse online for new arrivals and special finds to share the following day (here’s what I found this week). One thing I love to do is pretend I live up North, where they experience a true fall season. It helps spark my creativity and inspires me to create beautiful seasonal posts for you! I love using this quiet time to plan ahead and gather ideas.
Around 10:30 p.m., I shower, get ready for bed, say my prayers, and usually fall asleep very quickly after such a full day!
And that’s a typical weekday in my life—a mix of faith, family, Goldie, creativity, exercise, and lots of behind-the-scenes work growing a business I truly love.
