The Coastal Touches That Make a Home Feel Like Summer

There’s something about adding a few coastal touches for summer that just makes a home feel lighter and more relaxed. I’m always drawing inspiration from Nantucket when I’m picking pieces, and I naturally lean toward simple, timeless layers that feel easy to live with.

The things I use and love most are the everyday pieces—woven textures, simple glassware, soft neutral accents. Just things that quietly make a space feel calm and pulled together.

I’m always drawn to natural materials like rattan, seagrass, and light wood. Even small updates—a tray, a candle, a few pillow covers—can really shift the feel of a room.

I’ve also been eyeing a few new pieces that still feel classic and coastal, just with a fresh summer feel. I like adding things slowly so the space never feels overdone.

I’ve rounded up what I have and love, plus a few pieces I’m currently looking at, in case you want to bring a little of that easy coastal summer feeling into your own home

Hurricane Glass Candle Holder

These are so pretty—they instantly remind me of the candle holders from Something’s Gotta Give. There’s truly nothing better than the soft glow of beautiful candlelight.

This scented candle smells amazing! It’s the perfect signature scent.

Rattan Cordless Table Lamp

I have two of these and use them everywhere in my home. I also used them on the long table for my grandson’s baptism and they were beautiful.

Signature Hemmed Sheet Set in Hydrangea

I’m so excited to add this gorgeous sheet set by Boll & Branch in the new Hydrangea shade. I already have their white sheets, as I’ve mentioned before, and they’re truly our favorite to sleep in—so soft and beautiful. I thought it would be fun to bring a little color into my bedding for summer, and this hydrangea blue feels just perfect.

I’m also excited to be partnering with them this month.

My Future Outdoor Furniture

I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect pieces to furnish my back patio, and I finally decided this set is just right for the space. Since my patio isn’t covered, I like the idea of keeping the seating cushion-free for a more practical, low-maintenance setup. I’m especially excited to layer in a few outdoor throw pillows to soften it and make it feel a little more cozy and inviting.
