Hi friends! Thank you for all the sweet messages about my post yesterday. It’s fun to dabble in topics that are not only focused on fashion. Today, I sort of have another post like that which I hope you will enjoy. Here are five things I’m loving this week.
5 Things I’m Loving This Week
Work Trip
My husband and I will be traveling to one of my dream destinations in New Engand this September for a work trip. I literally have the chills just typing this out. I feel grateful for this opportunity to work with an amazing brand. Stay tuned for more details in the next few weeks on where we’re going and where my husband and I will be staying. We’re looking forward to this exciting adventure later this summer!
Dream Sleep
On Wednesday I shared my new favorite pjs that are on sale at LAKE and just received my order on Wednesday. Ladies, trust me when I say these are the best pajamas. There are other brands I love as well, however these are the most stylish, unique, comfortable pajamas I’ve ever worn. Here are the four LAKE styles I own and wear every night; Nantucket Day Dress, Taffy Midi Dress, Seafoam Wave Dress, and Bloom Days Short Set. Their sale ends on July 28th!
Push Ups
I can not do a push to save my life. Okay, that’s an exaggeration. Push ups have always been really hard for me to do, so I made a goal to do fifty push ups by the time I turn 50 in a year and a half. I’ve been practicing some tips I learned from searching online on how to work your way up to doing real push ups. This week I started and will not give up until I can do fifty push ups in a day. It’s fun to challenge myself with something that’s going to make me stronger.
Painting Projects
This week I worked on a paint project thanks to Clare paints and loved the shade I chose. I was inspired by my trip to 86 Cannon in Charleston to change things up with a little paint. I’m going to be sharing more of what I painted soon here on the blog. Until then, you can head on over to my Instagram highlight under Clare Paint to see a closer look the paint project I completed and the color I chose. I used the trim color, Seize the Gray. It’s a refreshing shade of gray that’s a dreamy neutral!
New favorite Shorts
I found a new pair of shorts at J.Crew I’m loving and think you will too. I loved these shorts so much, that I ordered them in five different colors. They run true to size, so I ordered them in an XS and they fit perfect. I ordered them in white, navy blue, faded lavender, copper striped, and indigo striped. They have a 3″ inseam, however since they fit like lounge shorts they don’t look too short. I’m going to wear them on my cruise and will take pictures to share on the blog. I just hope they do not sell out by then.
Outfit Details: J.Crew Factory Printed Tie Waist Top / J.Crew White Denim Shorts / Mar y Sol Bag / Carrie Forbes Raffia Slides / Target Straw Bangle Bracelet / Celine Sunglasses (love these too) / Wicker Earrings (similar) / Essie Fiji Nail Polish

You’ll do it! I set a squat challenge for myself about a year ago – 300/day – and created a calendar to get there in a month.
I did a set number throughout the day. I had thought I wouldn’t get the benefit if I wasn’t trying to hammer them all out in one workout session, but I was pleasantly surprised! My legs felt stronger and healthier because it was a little on and off all day.
Try it if you think it might work for you! I hope it dies.
